FAT BURN: How To HIIT

HIIT is the hottest buzz word in the fitness world right now, promising amazing fat burn and toning in just a fraction of the time... if done right!

Its great to see more and more people rejecting hours slogging away at a steady pace on a treadmill and getting on the gym floor, but with so much info out there its hard to make sure you're doing everything right.

There are many different methods to 'tone up' and trim fat, but for those out there who hate the gym and have busy lives HIIT will become your new best friend!

FIT-FASHION: ICAN IWILL

As someone who works in the fashion industry I can't help but combine my passions and get way over excited when it comes to cool gymwear! Plain old boring black leggings and vest just don't get me hyped up and in the mood for a sweat-fest! Thats where fit-fashion comes in!

Making a Comeback

I'm back!

2015 was a much bigger year than I had ever anticipated, I met a boy, fell in love and moved to a whole other part of the country. I won't get into my personal life on here but me & he met at university, so lived 130miles apart.. so juggling a long distance relationship with a full time job meant both my training and fitness career hit the back burner.

(excuse the ugly concentration face here!)

2016 is a fresh New Year, I've had a good 5months to settle into my new home and now I'm ready to pick up with my blog and the fitness world!

Having had time away from a structured fitness routine, it can be difficult to get yourself back into the swing of things. Among a number of issues you may feel your body confidence is low, self esteem certainly isn't what it was and suddenly the gym environment can feel intimidating again... as though you're a total newbie.

Having had 5months out of a proper routine I had to find a way to combat those first-session-back nerves, and here's just a few ways I did this that may help you!

The ultimate guilt free chocolate shake!

When it comes to chocolate, I've got quite good at fighting off cravings and have got to the stage where I really enjoy a few squares of dark chocolate over a whole bar of Dairy Milk, however when I'm offered something both chocolatey and good for me I can't say no, which is what happened to me a few weeks ago when i was contacted by supplement brand Activate Nutrition!

Race Report: The London Triathlon

Back in August you may remember me telling you all about the London Triathlon that I was due to participate in. Wetsuit, bike and trainers at the ready I headed off to London to take part in the event for the second time (I previously took part in 2013), only this year my cardio-loving mum was joining me! Aged 50, she is super fit and healthy, running at least 3 times a week and swimming at weekends, I knew it was going to be stiff competition, although I hoped her reluctance to do weights would give me bit of an edge, we're both mega competitive so this turned into a real Mother vs Daughter event!

The Fashercise Launch: Boom Cycle @ Boxpark

The easiest way to find out what I'm up to is through twitter.. I'm an addict! The fitness community on there is amazing, inspirational and motivational to say the least. So when a fellow duo of fit bloggers turned their amazing blog into a fully functional e-commerce site (more here) who was I to turn down an offer to join them in celebration!

To celebrate the launch of Fashercise - an amazing online fit-fashion shopping destination - the girls held a one week pop up at Boxpark with a free class everyday for the week the pop up was open, which included Boxing, Yoga, Ravercise and Hula Hooping, it was hard to choose which event to attend.. but then I saw one of the classes was the much raved about Boom Cycle and was instantly sold!
